1. About these terms

Hafvill AI is an independent AI research project developed by one individual, exploring Mamba-3 and a custom memory system.

By using Hafvill AI, you agree to these terms. Any consent required for processing personal data must be obtained separately.

2. Availability and changes

Access is provided on an “as available” basis. There is no guarantee of continuous or 24/7 access, uptime, support, response times, or preservation of conversations. The operator may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the project or its features, with or without notice, subject to applicable law.

3. AI output and responsible use

AI output may be inaccurate, fabricated, incomplete, biased, offensive, or harmful. It is not professional medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice. Do not rely on it for emergencies, safety-critical activities, or decisions affecting health, rights, finances, or personal safety.

You are responsible for independently checking outputs and deciding whether and how to use them, including generated code or instructions. Do not submit unlawful content, violate others’ rights, or use the project to cause harm.

4. Language support

Hafvill AI supports English. Other languages may lead to misunderstandings or unreliable responses.

5. Conversation data and research

When you are signed in, your messages and generated replies are saved in your account using Supabase so you can reopen conversations. A message may remain saved even if generating a reply fails or is stopped. Starting a new chat does not delete previous conversations. Deleting your account deletes its saved conversations from the application database.

Conversation storage supports chat history and does not itself enable model training. Your theme preference is saved in local storage and can be removed by clearing your browser’s site data.

Conversations can also contribute to the shared character’s fictional memory. This memory combines story information across accounts and is used in future replies, so details you introduce may appear in conversations with other users. The published character memory, its update date, and aggregate conversation and message counts are visible to all visitors. The character’s name, home, role and story can change as people contribute. Your conversation history remains accessible only through your account. Deleting a source conversation or starting account deletion clears the derived shared memory before it can be rebuilt from remaining conversations.

Conversation data used for research must be anonymized before retention, with identifying details removed. Research use covers evaluating responses, investigating errors, and improving the model and its memory system. Any collection for this purpose requires prior disclosure of how the data is processed and any legally required consent.

Do not submit passwords, payment information, health records, private communications, confidential material, or personal data about yourself or others.

6. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the project and its outputs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. No promise is made that the project will be secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your intended use.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the project operator is not liable for losses or damages arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to access the project or AI-generated content. This includes harm caused by inaccurate or harmful output, generated code or instructions, loss of data or profits, interruption, and direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law prohibits its exclusion. Any mandatory consumer or privacy rights remain unaffected.

8. Updates to this notice

These terms may be revised over time. The date above identifies the latest revision. Changes apply prospectively; material changes to data processing must be disclosed before they take effect, with any legally required consent obtained separately.
